The heavyweight of basics.
AS Colour has been making blanks in Auckland since 2005 and focuses on one thing: quality garments that print well. Heavier fabrics, simple cuts without visible branding, plus an Organic & Recycled range. The tees hold their shape even after years of wear and washing.
Ink under our nails since 2009. Still there – just in different tones.
It started in 2009 at university – instead of sitting in lectures we were printing tees. No showroom, no machines, no clue. That came a few years and a few hundred orders later.
From a garage to our own factory
Our parents' garage, twenty square meters. First order, first money – and instead of celebrating, we bought a wooden carousel press: four colors, four pallets, set up on a garden table.
That's where we learned that good printing isn't made by a factory floor. It's made by hands and heads.
From there it grew step by step: more orders, better machines, more space.
The garden table is long gone. The garage mindset never left.

Screen printing
The classic that survives hundreds of washes.
Ink is pushed through a stencil straight into the fibre – prints last for years, and per-piece cost is unbeatable on larger runs. We print with MagnaColours water-based inks and Union Ink plastisol – both phthalate-free and ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX certified. Water-based for a softer hand, plastisol for denser coverage on dark and synthetic fabrics.
Embroidery
A premium, tactile finish that holds its shape and colour for years.
We embroider logos and monograms on modern multi-head machines. Embroidery adds a value print can't match – a raised, tactile detail.
DTG – digital print
Photo-quality prints from a single piece.
Digital printing straight into the fabric with unlimited colours. Ideal for short runs, samples and artwork with gradients or photography.
On light fabrics the ink soaks into the fibres and the print is almost imperceptible under your hand – the garment still feels like a garment. On darks the colours sit on a thin white underbase, so the print is a touch more present, but the soft hand feel stays.
DTF / transfer
Crisp detail on tricky fabrics.
Transfer printing handles fine detail, performance fabrics and awkward placements – seams, pockets, sleeves. Great for sportswear and short runs with multiple placements.
Sublimation
Edge-to-edge artwork that becomes part of the fabric.
Under heat the dye turns to gas and bonds directly into the polyester fibre – it is not a layer on the surface, the artwork literally lives inside the material. We typically print onto white jersey fabric and everything comes from print: the entire colour of the garment, base panels included. Won't crack, peel or fade – zero hand feel.

JAN SOCIÉTÉ
Suede-touch screen printing for the JAN SOCIÉTÉ summer capsule. Semiš is a specialty screen-print finish with a matte, velvety surface – the artwork carries a soft, gently raised hand that feels like brushed suede. Tees and tanks, subtle chest logos, premium to the eye and the touch.

Allwyn
Quick-dry microfibre towels for Allwyn, printed with full-surface sublimation. The dye bonds directly with the polyester fibre under heat – edge-to-edge artwork with zero hand feel that won't crack or fade, wash after wash. Finished with woven brand labels and banded packing.

Ewa Farná
Tour merch for three sold-out Eden Arena shows. The flagship piece: a hoodie combining two techniques on one garment – direct screen print of the photographic eye motif, framed by hand-set Preciosa rhinestones tracing the typography. Layering techniques like this is a discipline of its own: every pass has to register within a fraction of a millimetre. The collection ran from hoodies to statement accessories, including an all-over printed sleep mask.
Beats for Love
3D embroidery for one of Europe's biggest electronic music festivals. Puff embroidery gives the logo a raised, sculptural relief – foam under the stitches, dense satin cover on top. Stitched with Madeira eco threads, so even festival headwear stays true to our sustainability line.
Section Store
One of the most technically demanding screen-print jobs we've run: artwork wrapping across seams, corners and every side of the tee – front, back, sleeves, shoulder. Printing over a seam is the discipline where most shops stop; we build the garment flat on the pallet and take the squeegee across it. Finished with metallic ink accents – and shipped in custom pizza boxes for the Section Store × Nik Tendo drop.

Sustainable from fibre to box
For us, sustainability isn't a label on a website. It's a concrete decision at every step: phthalate-free MagnaColours water-based inks, threads made from recycled polyester (Madeira), fabrics from manufacturers with recognised certifications, and packaging without single-use plastic.
These aren't grand declarations, just choices that make sense for something a person wears.

Certified blanks
We print on blanks that carry GOTS – the strictest standard for organic textiles. Behind that certificate is an audited chain: the origin of the cotton, the chemistry used in dyeing, the water and the working conditions in the factory. Every style has a certificate number you can look up in the public GOTS database – you don't have to take our word for it.
Fabrics
Organic cotton and recycled blends from Stanley/Stella and AS Colour – brands that hold GOTS, Fair Wear and GRS themselves. We help clients pick weights and fits that last years, not a season; the most sustainable garment is the one that keeps getting worn.
Inks
We choose MagnaColours water-based inks and Union Ink plastisol, both phthalate-free and ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX certified. Water-based inks give a softer hand and let the print breathe with the fabric, and cleaning the screens creates no chemical waste headed for the water.
Waste
We print to order – no warehouses of unsold stock destined for the sale rack or the bin. Thread and fabric offcuts are sorted and sent on for further processing.
Packaging
Parcels leave with zero single-use plastic: FSC-certified paper bags instead of polybags, recycled cardboard and paper tape. The whole parcel recycles as one material – more on the Packaging page.

Whose personal data are we processing?
If you are our customer or a business partner who has already been in contact with us, it is probable that we processed your personal data in our databases.
How did we obtain the processed personal data?
Most of the time, personal data from natural persons is obtained from our customer account registration to our online shop and subsequent orders or subsequently concluded purchase contracts. If you are browsing our website, cookies are necessary to use its features. Cookies are not necessary for some features of the site and for some, it is in the best interests of users to use the appropriate Cookies. You do not want to be tracked? You can easily turn off cookies tracking on our website. The personal data of our business partners are obtained mainly through the mutual exchange of contacts at conferences or business meetings. We do the maximum to ensure that the personal data we collect is always up-to-date and correct in relation to the subject.
What personal data do we process?
We try to process as little personal data as possible for practical reasons, but we cannot completely avoid processing. We mainly process the personal data we need to complete an order and then execute the purchase contract, i.e. in relation to natural persons, such as name, surname, telephone number, email address and mutually written communication with whom we are doing business on behalf of the customer. If you are our registered customer, we also record your shopping history, mainly due to any complaint or applying of rights regarding a defective performance.
How long do we retain personal data?
We usually retain the data of registered customers during the active registration period. You do not want to be further registered? Your user account can be easily deleted. However, the law requires us to retain accounting documents for 5 years from the end of the accounting period in which the transaction was performed. So we cannot delete all your personal data right after the end of the service or immediately after your notification. In relation to the business relationship, even after the fulfillment of the purchase contract subject or for the purpose of other commercially relevant negotiations, we store the possible mutual email communications for the period recommended by legislation on archiving.
Commercial messages
Legal exemption permits us to send existing customers and business partners a commercial message related to the subject of the mutual business relationship. But if you do not want us to use your data to send out business messages, we will not do anything like that, of course and so you can easily remove your email from the subscription. In case we need your personal data to protect our legal interests or conversely, fulfill our obligations, we are authorized to process your personal data for even a longer period of time, but such situations will not regular occur.
Can personal data processed by us be misused?
We have taken reasonable steps to limit the risk of abuse or leakage of your personal data. Your personal data can only be accessed by a limited and predetermined number of people; our IT systems are protected by antivirus software and are located in physically secured premises. But who specifically has access to these processed personal data? If you register in our online shop or sign a sales contract with us, your personal data will be sent to the sales department and according to the selected form of payment and shipping to external companies, such as postal service providers or accountancy companies. In case it is necessary to modify the contract in relation to the services provided or to resolve any dispute, the personal data processed may also be accessed by external providers of legal services. We have entered into confidentiality agreements with our employees and external contractors and we have a contractual set of guarantees regarding the processing of personal data. So the unwanted leakage or misuse of your personal data should not occur.
Are the personal data being processed forwarded to others?
We use external suppliers to ensure the functioning of our online shop and the running of the company, so we also pass some of your personal data related to invoicing to external accountancy companies beyond our core staff. If the conditions for the provision of services by one of our suppliers do not require the processing of personal data, this is always however contractually pre-addressed, no other third party having access to them.
Do we need your consent for each processing?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Act No. 110/2019 Coll. on the Processing of Personal Data allow the processing of personal data on the basis of legal titles other than consent. However, unnecessary overuse of consent has created a misleading idea that personal data cannot be processed without its being granted. Most personal data are thus processed on the basis of a contract or related legal obligations. We further process personal data on the basis of our own authorized interests or for the purpose of fulfilling our legal obligations. In case that some of your personal data do not fall into these categories, your consent is needed to process them, which you can revoke at any time.
What rights do you have in relation to the processing of personal data?
You are certainly entitled to all rights granted to you by law, mainly however by the Regulation (EC) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Council, the General Regulation on the protection of personal data. You have the possibility of asking us to tell you what from your data we are processing, for what purpose, along with access to these data. If you suspect that we are processing your personal data as incomplete or incorrect, you may request modification. In case you suspect that we are in breach of your legal regulations in the processing of your personal data, you have the opportunity to contact us with a modification, or to file a grievance with the Personal Data Protection Office.
